Results
Thirty-six (36) patients with schizophrenia who were seropositive for antibodies to Toxoplasma gondii were randomized to adjunct pyrimethamine 75 mg and sulfadiazine 2 g (Fansidar) for 2 weeks. The individuals on Fansidar improved on symptoms more quickly than controls, but at the endpoint there was no significant difference.
