Results
Sixty-seven patients with bipolar depression were randomized and 48 patients completed the study. The addition of cytidine produced a significant reduction in depression ratings for weeks 1-4 that did not persist through the remainder of the trial. The addition of cytidine did not result in a greater overall number of patients achieving response or remission.
