Results

Forty-five (45) outpatients with bipolar I disorder were randomized to 4 g of omega-3 fatty acid plus 2 g cytidine; omega-3 fatty acid plus placebo; or placebo plus placebo as add-on therapy for four months. Neither of the drugs or their combination had any effect on mood symptoms.
