Outcome Measurements
PANSS, Rapid Visual Information Processing, Intra-Extra Dimensional Shift, WMS-R, Quality of Life Scale (QLS), and Auditory Sensory Gating P50
Results
Forty (40) patients with schizophrenia were randomized to tropisetron 10 mg/day or placebo for 8 weeks to assess possible cognitive improvement. The researchers reported significant increase in Quality of Life scores, sustained visual attention, and auditory gating P50 deficits. The statistical methods used are under discussion.
