Results

In a 2X2 design, two hundred and thirty-two patients were randomized to add-on Simvastatin and/or Naproxen, active or placebo for 14 weeks. No significant difference was found in total PANSS change from baseline to week 14 between the effect of naproxen vs placebo (ES=0.075, p>0.05), simvastatin vs placebo, (ES=-0.048, p>0.05), or for the group receiving both naproxen and simvastatin comparing to placebo (ES= 0.036, p>0.05).
